FROM AN IDEA TO SOMETHING REAL
Propville Creative Works is a South African creative manufacturing business specialising in custom-made props, décor, furniture and display creations manufactured from wood and steel.
What began with a passion for creating distinctive photography props has grown into an extensive collection of products for photographers, weddings, events, children's spaces, homes, businesses and commercial displays.
Today, our catalogue includes everything from small decorative pieces and photography props to furniture, large statement structures, themed creations and specialised display solutions.
But our catalogue is only the beginning.
IF YOU CAN IMAGINE IT, WE CAN BUILD IT.
Propville Creative Works began in 2010, and almost by accident.
At the time, my husband was making wooden frames for my paintings, which I was selling through Facebook.
Then one of our neighbours asked if we could make birdcages for her wedding.
We did.
I posted the finished birdcages on Facebook, not knowing that one small project was about to take us in a completely different direction.
About four months later, a photographer contacted me and asked:
“Can you make a piano for a newborn?”
My first reaction was:
“A WHAT?”
I'd never heard of a newborn photography piano prop before.
But we made it — and that unusual request became the beginning of Propville's journey into the world of photography props.
From that first piano came more requests, more ideas and increasingly different designs. Over the years, what started with wooden frames, a set of wedding birdcages and one unexpected newborn piano grew into the extensive collection of props, décor, furniture and custom creations that Propville Creative Works manufactures today.
Our products may have changed enormously since 2010, but the way we work really hasn't.
Someone comes to us with an idea and asks:
“Can you make this?”
And that's still where some of our best creations begin.
DON'T FORGET THE CAT!!!!
IF YOU CAN IMAGINE IT, WE CAN BUILD IT.
Today, Propville Creative Works manufactures an extensive range of custom-made props, décor, furniture and display pieces in wood and steel.
Our work includes creations for:
Photography • Weddings • Events • Children’s Décor & Toys • Home Décor • Corporate & Commercial Displays • Photography Studios
From small decorative pieces and themed props to furniture, backdrops, arches, display structures and large statement creations, our catalogue shows just how varied our manufacturing has become.
Many of our products can also be adapted for different uses. A design originally created for photography, for example, may inspire a wedding, event or commercial display piece.
And because our products are made to order, clients are not limited to the exact colours, sizes or designs shown in our catalogue.
OUR CATALOGUE SHOWS WHAT WE HAVE MADE. YOUR IDEA CAN SHOW US WHAT TO MAKE NEXT.
Every Propville Creative Works product is made to order.
We don't operate as a rental company and we don't manufacture a standard range of mass-produced stock. Instead, our catalogue provides clients with an extensive collection of existing designs while still allowing room for customisation and new ideas.
Depending on the product, we can manufacture different sizes, colours, finishes, configurations and design variations to suit the client's requirements.
Clients are also welcome to send us a reference image, sketch or idea. We will assess whether the design falls within our manufacturing capabilities and provide a quotation accordingly.
Because our products are individually manufactured, no two projects have to be exactly the same.
MADE TO ORDER • CUSTOM DESIGNS • NO RENTALS
Propville Creative Works has been creating custom products since 2010.
Over the years, we have manufactured an enormous variety of designs, but one thing has remained at the heart of what we do: we manufacture our products ourselves.
We are not simply an online store sourcing ready-made products for resale. Our pieces are created and manufactured to order, giving us the flexibility to adapt existing designs and develop completely new ones.
Our experience working with both wood and steel allows us to create everything from small detailed props to furniture, large structures and statement display pieces.
And after years of unusual requests, we've learned never to dismiss an idea simply because we haven't made it before.
Sometimes the question:
Propville Creative Works creates for people and businesses looking for something different, custom-made and manufactured to order.
Our clients include:
Photographers looking for distinctive newborn, children’s, cake smash, portrait and studio photography props.
Wedding & Event Professionals looking for backdrops, arches, furniture, display pieces, themed décor and statement features.
Businesses & Commercial Clients looking for custom display structures, product displays, window and mall displays, promotional pieces and decorative features.
Parents & Private Clients looking for children’s décor, toys, furniture, home décor and unique custom-made pieces.
Whatever the project, the starting point is often the same:
AN IDEA. A CONVERSATION. THEN WE BUILD IT.

Every Propville Creative Works creation is individually handcrafted, not mass-produced. As each piece is made by hand, slight variations in appearance, detailing and finishes may occur compared to the images shown. These natural differences are part of the handcrafted process, ensuring that every creation has its own unique character.
All products are manufactured to order and sold directly to customers. We do not provide rentals, event styling or installation services. Customers are responsible for arranging transportation or collection of completed orders. Production lead times vary according to project requirements, complexity and current workload.
